Product Description

The Pentek 151254 "Square-Cut" O-ring is used to seal water filter housings. It has an inside diameter of approximately 5.40 inches and outside diameter of approximately 5.65 inches. This o-ring is made of nitrile butadiene rubber (Buna-N) for flexibility and resistance to abrasion and tearing.

Compatible with the following filter housing models:

  • 3M AquaPure filters that require part number 68898-31 (including older AP801 housings that use the square cut o-ring)
  • American Plumber W10-BC, W15-BC, 152080
  • Ametek HD10-CL
  • Omnifilter BF9, BF9C
  • Pentek 10-BC, 20-BC, 166219, 166201
  • Pentek 10” Big Clear (10” only, not the 20”) and Big White Housings that require the “square-cut o-ring”

The 151254 o-ring is a direct replacement for the following part numbers:

While these or any O-Rings don’t really need to do much, these fit our situation and seem to be doing the job they were designed to do.

They were the only seller to give info on the flat o-ring option. My water filter housings are going on 30 + years old so, finding some one who carried them saved me a ton of cash. To replace the housings it would have cost me at least $260.00 for the parts. If I had to hire a plumber, who knows.Thanks!!, Jim

My AP system was installed in 2008 making it an older version. These square o-rings fit perfectly. The newer version (round) o-rings are 1/4” too large and don’t seal properly. Buy these.

After we changed the whole house water filter, the gasket was leaking. This O-ring fit perfectly and fixed the water filter housing leak.

Bought to replace O-ring for Pentair Pentek RFC-BB Big Blue Carbon Water Filter (10-Inch). Didn't fit into housing due to shape and size. Expensive rubber bands.

Don't use Vaseline on the "O" rings. It makes them swell so next time you change the filter, the O ring will be too large. Use Silicone "O" ring grease instead.
