This actually works great outside the car but is inverted inside my car there is some magnetic/metal parts messing with it, so check outside and inside you car and see the difference. Mine is 180 opposite so it's easy to tell north is south etc.

I hate to give a one star rating to a product , but , unfortunately , this product deserves it ! Its way off, 90 degrees off ! Always wrong !

Not a bad product. Doesn't keep time very well but you can check your oil level with it.

I’m not one to leave reviews, but this compass is so pathetic that I feel like I have to save other people from making the same mistake. Does not point in the correct direction, is extremely noisy when used in a vehicle. They could not pay me to keep this in my truck.

The compass itself works great, and looks nice. The mounting method needs some work. The circular adhesive strip supplied does not hold it to any surface. I'll have to get inventive to get it mounted in the truck.

This is pathetic and I've tried to put it in two different places on my dash and also on the windshield itself.The mount won't allow you to put it straight on the windshield so it sits cockeyed which is probably why it didn't work installed on the windshield of my Jeep Liberty.So if you can't make the angle right to mount on the windshield you try to put it on your dash right?I put it in two different places on my dash and it points where ever it just happens to want to.. sometimes it points correctly other times when you know what direction you're going and you look at the compass it's pointing half off or more.This thing is junk!!So to those who might think about purchasing this.. buy a different one!

The perfect case of getting what you pay for. This compass was cheap, and it also doesn't really work.
