I bought this thing for my 2000 Honda Civic thinking it's cheap enough and it doesn't work, who cares, I'll throw it out. I love it and I'm buying one for my girlfriend. I just took it out of the box, plugged it in and took off. The calibration is super close and I trust it now completely. I'm going to make an adapter, so the wire can be hidden and directly wire it to the fuse box to a key on terminal. I'll update with some pictures. I also didn't use the reflective tape cut out that it came with. I'll update that as well

The displayed speed is not accurate. I think it is a software issue. Hope the manufacturer can release a patch to fix it.

Plugs into the side and we have it double sided sticky taped to the underside of our dash to use as a replacement for the speedometer that quit working. Very bright and easy to read.

I don’t know who thought of putting the USB in the front of the device. This is also a few miles under the car’s speed so that makes it useless

The device operates fine. Just no way to mount it. I wound up wedging besides my cars center dash display.

I was looking for something digital to show my speed so I don't have to look down at the analog speedometer on my instrument panel. This works perfectly. The white numbers match my guages and it sets perfectly on top of my dash. The speed matches my car's speedometer exactly. This is such a convenient gadget which makes my driving experience easier. Some other people's comments complain about taking a long time to boot up. I have noticed that sometimes it may take up to 30 seconds to find the speed when first turning it on, which isn't a problem for me. It has had no issues and I expect to use this for a long time.

I bought this because my tire size causes my speedometer to be off. But it’s off by 2 MPH, so what’s the point of having it if it won’t read right. May be useful to speeder making them think they are over speed. :-/

This little and uncomplicated digital speedometer is a nice piece of equipment for those of us with older cars without digital readouts.I have an old FX45 that I love but keeping track of the speed I'm going in monitored neighborhoods 9jnvolves taking my eyes off the road to look down at the analogue speedometer. By adding this digital speedometer that works via power from the cigarette lighter source, I have a digital speed readout right in front of me at eye level as I watch the road in front of me. The sources of power is a cigarette lighter charger with cable -- but here the cable is attached to the digital speedometer. The unit has the option of connecting to the windshield with a suction cup, or attaching (by tape) directly to the dashboard. The instructions for how to attach are minimal (aka non-existent), and the tape provided that I think is supposed to be two-sided would only release on one side. So I ended up using Velcro, and the unit stays attached securely to the dashboard while giving me the option to take it off if I need to.Again, this is a very simple unit that uses GPS to calculate and display speed. It does what it says it will do and blends in well with the dashboard. If you want digital speed readout, you might want to give this a try.
