Full disclosure, I bought this for another purpose. Where my car is parked there's an overhang where unfortunately whenever it rains or snows (and it melts) water runs down the siding of the building and drips right onto my hood. I wanted to place this over the hood so the drips wouldn't eventually ruin the paint.However, the magnets are not strong enough to hold it in place and it slides off fairly easily. The hooks, again even though I'm not using this for its actual purpose, are no much better as one of them broke just pulling on it (testing it out and the result was just like other reviewers posts).I'm not going to return these, instead I'll modify them with stronger magnets so it will work for what I'm intending it to use for. Otherwise, the material seems solid and the underside is soft enough that won't scratch your paint.

I have a 1965 Restomod Mustang with a very expensive paint job. These fender protecters work great to protect the paint. The plastic hooks hold the protecters in place on the car and make it easy to hang on the wall while not in use. I highly recommend them.

There’s a reason these are cheap they are very poorly made . Hardly put any pressure on the strap and it ripped off . Trash will have to buy new set
