Was extremely happy with this product. I used Shadow Black on my 2018 Ford Explorer chips/scrratches. Brush was easy to use and it covered very well.

I've never used a paint pen like this before.I'm accustomed to paint pens that use a small brush to fill in scratches. This pen does have a brush that you can use for larger scratches, but it also has a nib at the end of the pen. This lets you have better control when trying to fill in those tiny paint chips you get from little stones. Instead of getting the bigger globs you tend to get with a brush, you can precisely fill in the little chips with the nib. Definitely a better way to cover those chips.Overall, a great little tool to keep up with those nasty little paint chips and scratches. Recommended. My rating method:1 star - terrible. I wouldn't consider buying it.2 stars - marginal at best. Doesn't meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk.3 stars - average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I'd probably buy it.4 stars - better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I'd buy it.5 stars - exceptional - far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

We'll all get parking lot bumps and highway rock scratches eventually. I take very good care of my car, but age is age. Spray paint on anything significant requires a lot of perfect conditions, and black wax is great for small blemishes but only lasts so long. It was time for me to get out there with a pen, so I was glad to be offered this product. The shadow black was a decent match for my Lincoln's Diamond Black. In hindsight I probably should have gotten the metallic, but for the small areas I needed to fill, this worked fine. I walked around the car and had about a dozen imperfections filled in about 15 minutes. The pen is a lot easier than trying to get a thin coat with a brush, but of course this has a brush too if you hit an area that needs it. My hands aren't quite as steady as they once were and a pen lets me work with a little more precision than I could ever get with a brush these days. I'd be inclined to use it even on slightly bigger imperfections even if it takes longer. I do not look for perfection on the first coat, and the first coat is what you're seeing here in the pictures. I might hit it again or I might just buff it well with some black wax, but having done a lot of this kind of work in the past I think for a single coat example this worked out great. I figured I should show what it looks like right away with immediate effort rather than how great it looks after I really work on it with multiple coats or wax, as this is the initial product of the pen itself anybody could expect with minimal effort, which is good if you're not on top of it and looking for it.

This touch-up paint kit was so easy to use and worked perfectly on my Ford Expedition. The paint was a great match to my Oxford White exterior, and it covered the scratches quickly and smoothly. I loved how simple it was to apply—just shake the bottle, apply with the brush or micro applicators, and let it dry. It’s much more affordable than taking my car to the shop for a minor scratch repair. The paint has held up well with no chipping, and I’m really happy with the results. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quick, easy, and affordable way to fix their car’s paint!

Not perfect, but for,a touch up paint about the closest I could expect. I had a few rock chips on the front end of my 2022 F150 and decided to give this touch up paint a try. I prepped the paint chips and applied 3-4 light coats with the brush (I trimmed the brush at an angle with a pair of scissors) so I could have a sharp point to apply the paint in only the chip. I let each coat dry about 15 minutes and applied successive coats until the repair was just above the surface of the factory paint around the chip. I used a small sanding block and 1000 grit to lightly wet sand the repair until it was level with the surrounding factory paint. I used some auto liquid polish for the final finish. Unable to detect the repair unless you are close up.

Very poor quality. I purchased the Star White Metallic Tri-coat for my 24' F250. The paint is thin and is pretty a semi transparent milky white. I tried the pen applicator along with the brush. Multiple coats on rock chips...and you can still see the rock chips. Plus the color didn't seem to color match the factory paint. Refund time. Dupli Color is hands down the best brand they just don't have my color yet.

This one came with both a fine-tip pen for smaller marks and a brush for larger areas, which made it more flexible. What I liked most was the paint's texture. It didn’t feel too thick or too runny, which helped me apply it in thin, even layers. Some other kits I’ve used dried with a rough finish, but this one settled smoothly, making the repair look more natural.
