This product does not match the photo. It has the wing nut welded on the same side as the roller. It would scratch the car when trying to trace body lines. Had to cut it with a grinder and weld it on the opposite side for it to work. Should have just returned it but I am a body man and had a welder handy so I fixed it to match photo.

I use it for quickly marking lines on metal for cutting. Works good for repetitive cuts.

The design is simple, but the construction is good. I wish I had more to say, but it is pretty basic. The locking nut holds the roller slide in place firmly. Everything is smooth and clean. No sharp edges or dirty threads.it works as expected and is useful for any task that needs a scribed mark. I like that the design allows you to support the marker solidly and manipulate the tool easily and smoothly over flat or contoured materials.

The genius that made this put the tightening screw so it's against the body of the vehicle. It clearly shows in the item description it's on the other side. You know, where it only makes sense to be. Duh.This tool is a good idea, but this one is trash.
