I would say it is worth its weight in gold but it does not weigh enough. It works super well snd makes cocking my crossbow easy. I am 65 and could not cock it with rope cocker. Just plug it in, hook the cables on and crank it. Sooo easy!

GREAT! Love it. It works perfectly with my crossbow. Keeping the tension tight when reeling the cable back for storing is advised and will prevent jamming. It is very quiet as stated and although repacking it takes a bit of practice to make fit, it stores very nicely in the foam, zippered bag included. I've used it multiple times and have not been disappointed.

I have the Carbon Express Covert CX-3 SL+ which has a 175 lb draw, the crank is easy to use once you get the hang of it and is a back saver. The ease of cocking makes the bow much more enjoyable to shoot. Instructions are not very good, but after a couple times using the crank you will figure out the easiest way to use the crank.

Purchased a piledriver xbow package which included the cocking winch. After some use the knot on the string/rope slipped through the keeper hole on the string spool when bow was almost fully cocked causing a dry fire.Thankfully I escaped injury, this time but...…. Damage to bowunknown a t this writing. So, I ordered another winch to the tune of $86.49 thru amazon and received it today. When I tried to use the new winch the string/rope was/is too short therefore useless.Thanks for the bad experience!

The first one I got was defective and ruined a brand new crossbow. The hooks actually drug across the safety mechanism and after while the crossbow, discharged while loading the bolt and the string broke. Got new crossbow and got this one replaced. I have the this one and the universal, the latter, though noisy has more clearance between the hooks and the safety. I only use the silent one if I have to reload while on the tree stand. I will say, I have the CX Covert SLS which has the cocking sled and like it much more than the hooks.

I bought this for my girlfriend to use, She can't pull the crossbow with the factory cocking device, so this device allows her to do it. It's a little slower than doing it manually, but it does allow her to do it.
