It was a pain replacing the older carb, but this new one was identical and fit perfect. I had my doubts that my generator would actually work, because I really did struggle installing it. To my surprise, it fired right up. Its been 4 months and I run it for about 15 minutes once a month since it is now winter. My generator is a ONAN QG 4000.

Installed it in about 30 mins and fired right up and runs just as good as the OEM did before it got clogged up. Way easier than rebuilding the old one!

Absolute junk... After a somewhat difficult install because of confined space the carburetor worked for all of one minute 30 seconds then it started puking gas out of the intake throat of the carburetor. Very disappointed but I knew it was a Gamble.

I had purchased a carb for my Onan 4000Generator because I forgot to start mine for six months and the carb gummed up. After install generator still wouldn't run. Spent a good 10 hours checking everything over then someone told me about bad carbs from Amazon. So I purchased and installed one and the generator started up first try. Sending the other back as defective and will probably get another of this one just to have “on hand†for another year’s possible problem.

Installing. this carb the first time on a generator is not for the faint of heart, nor the old, clumsy fingered. Watch a Youtube about installing it on the Onan.

As the headline says... but I intended to use the bottom bowl and the bottom jet on my current OE Cummins carb. Won't fit! the jet is ever so slightly longer so the bowl won't seal to the carb body. So... if you buy this, plan on a total carb removal and replacement, which is a more tedious job.

Internet shows easy. We tried the Carburetor cleaner for a week. Didn't work for us. Ordered carburetor with shut off valve and filter. After over an hour trying to get gaskets to line up, we gave up. We had to glue the gaskets on the spacer and carburetor then it just slid in nice. The one gasket was the wrong one for this carburetor. But it did work. The shut off valve wouldn't shut off. The hose clamps were too small for our gas line. We picked up new ones at hardware. We used a mirror to help with bolts. Primed and started easy.

Onan replacement carb did not work for me . Supplied too much fuel . I suspect the metering jetburied inside . Tried an original carb from another gen set and it worked fine . Waste of money .

It was obvious my carburetter was not working well, and after removing that we noticed some of the parts were clogged. After purchasing this replacement, and after 15 minutes everything was running perfectly! Good quality product
