My mechanic installed this and upon startup it shorted out and burnt up. Of course it's out of return window so double bummer. Oh well looks like I'm gonna have to buy oem. Gambled with the cheaper option and lost.

While the items showed an $85 core value/rebate upon return, you can't apply for this until days after the order is place. Surprised when Cardone indicated no rebate/core return was available. Effectively just increased the price of their part. Already installed, or it would be going back.
