Not a whole lot of choice when looking for a high quality, name brand tire. Carlisle has been in the trailer tire business for years. A quality product and made in the US. Sold.

Have ordered several china tires on here, all failed after a few hundred miles. These Carlisle tires did great on an 800 mile trip, no viable wear and performed well under extreme heat conditions.

Needed to replace the 2-year old factory tires on our pop-up that blew out. Amazed to find so few options for 12", ply, E speed-rated tires on the market. Why not use the much more common and durable 13"-sized tires, but that’s a different review. If you own any trailer with small tires, you know they blow-out much more often than normal vehicle tires. I expect about a 2-3-year life on them, depending on the amount of driving. We bought a set of these tires, and used them on a 3,000-mile roundtrip from Texas to California, during the intense summer heat. Tires did great, with no issues. We’re about to do about a 2,000-mile roundtrip from Texas to Colorado, so we will see how they do after a year, and will update. One key detail to note; these tires need to be inflated to 80psi, which many gas-station air pumps cannot pump to. So, you may need to stop by a tire shop (Discount Tire, NTB, Walmart etc.) to have them properly inflated. Without proper inflation, you risk premature blow-out.

Update: I am an auto detailer and I usually try to clean tires before they are mounted and these had the typical greasy finish either as mold release or for storage protection. I had mixed luck with my usual cleaners/degreasers before finally using Goo Gone to strip the sidewalls of that white-ish wax. The first tire I tried to clean had an adverse reaction and didn't clean as thoroughly with the Goo Gone as a second treatment. Time will tell if the look will even out over time. The others are smooth as butter with a perfectly flat black look after the Goo Gone.I had these on a PWC trailer which I sold with the unit and reordered when I purchased a new trailer. They arrived without incident and the DOT # indicates these were manufactured the week of August 16th, 2018. For reference, I ordered on March 6th, 2019.

Great Value and tire for my trailer. WARNING: When buying trailer tires it is not just the price... watch your WEIGHT code The higher the letter the more weight the tire can carry... It is the letter AFTER all the numbers. Spend a little more for a heavy weight tire like I did, and your 1500 pound 5x8 trailer can suddenly carry more weight without looking like the tires are about to explode under pressure. Get the most out of your trailer.. My trailer can carry 2000 pounds per the manufacturer but the original tires where a low letter code from Carlisle so every time I pout more than 500 pounds in it -- it look liked I wouldn't make it home. Who knew it wasn't the trailer but the tires. LOL I bought two of these to balance out the weight, and moved my old low weight to the spare, but will replace that with one of these shortly, just to be safe! these were not that much more than the lower weight and still a great deal - via AMAZON.

It’s a tire. Hasn’t blown, so I would say it’s a good tire.
