Round / Standard Ceiling 'OLD WORK' Electrical Boxes ... Easy Install / Good Quality. RECOMMENDATION: Use an Inexpensive 'Drywall DUST Collection Saucer/Bowl' When Drilling Overhead. It Collects MOST of the Dust and Keeps it OUT of your Eyes/Hair/Clothing ! Wear GOGGLES too !

This plastic electrical box worked like a charm to install a security light in the exterior of our garage where there was no pre-existing box. The three "ears", once tightened, are holding the box firmly against the garage exterior sheathing.

Nice old work box. The only drawback is that the tabs stick out quite a bit from the diameter of the box requiring an irregularly shaped hole, otherwise I would not be comfortable with the overlap of the flange on the drywall.

It was what it was supposed to be, exactly as expected.

The ceiling box is of sturdy plastic and its locking mechanism worked beautifully in my application. The box was deep, leaving plenty of room for several wires. The wire locks are strong and a little hard to adjust, but a medium screwdriver worked nicely to move them as needed. I would purchase again.

Just as shown. But there was no template with the box. Would have been a bit easier if a template had been included. You will need to cut the circular hole and then file 3 indents in the circle for the 3 hold-downs to fit up thru the cutout.

The box worked fine and was perfect for installing a new closet light. I had similar issues with the screws as others did, I had to take the box back down and run the screws all the way in and back out and still had some difficulty with it even after that as they were still hard to run in and pull the tabs down, some tries caused the screws and tabs to hang up and bend and would have been really infuriating had the attic access not been right next to it for me to work the screws and tabs into place. I've installed several "old work" boxes and never had this issue. Seems like this would be an easy fix.

For some reason these are not carried at a lot of box stores. They're absolutely perfect when you either don't have a stud/joist to attach to, or in my case discover no outlet box was previously installed. Tabs are very hard to push in and 1 screw was a bit funky, but I made it work.

It worked to replace fixture box where one screw hole broke in existing box. Removing old existing plastic box was not too difficult by breaking it up and this fit snugly in the hole left behind. Plastic is kind of cheap. A bit of the rim broke with minimal grip. Way overpriced for what it is. Should be no more than 5 or 6 bucks but couldn't find at box store.

Box went in really tight. Clips held box extremely well. First time using this product. I will use it again. FYI - I used a 3 7/8 hole saw had to tap the box into place. Box has a very minimal lip which didn’t affect finished look of light installation. Holes aligned perfect. Had to use number 8 wood screws to affix the light fixture. Screws were not provided.
