Fits perfectly into the gate kit it was built for, it makes the gate much more larger.Strong metal but the screws really should be a bit longer cause once the gate is this long it really needs more support.The middle floor support is pretty good but I had to use a double sided 3M tape to keep it firmly on the ground.If you haven't tried Amazon Prime, your really missing out on so much. This has worked very well. I have an opening approx 75 inches across. I used this extension with the extra tall maxi gate. I did purchase longer screws as suggested by earlier reviews for the gate itself and this section goes right in the middle to increase width. It was pretty easy to set up.

Good dog fence for interior use. Not too heavy-duty, but served it's purpose for the price.

It doesn't come with anything to stabilize it, so when you add the extension, it is easy to knock over. It wasn't worth the money.

The extension for the Maxi Gate was great. It took 2 extensions to help close off the arc. It is tall enough that the dogs don't try to jump over and it looks good.

We got a new pit bull puppy and knew we needed to keep him (and keep our house) safe when we weren't home. We also have a large and small dog so we fenced off our kitchen area. The gate and extensions have worked well; the added height keeps them from even considering trying to jump it. The gate and extension are sturdy enough to hold up against pushing if they tried that.Installation required a bit of modifications to floor trim and we did install the clips in the wall trim. It looks nice and works great. When you measure, make sure you include the overlap needed to link the gates and extensions together. I had to order an extra because I left the over lap out.

I wasn't able to get enough information off of the Amazon page to tell that these items would not work as extensions for my current gate. Not sure who's to blame here, Amazon or Carlson. It was a fairly expensive mistake.
