These boots are nice but fit veryTight (05 Escalade). I tried to just install with a socket to drive them in that was just big enough to go around the boot and I roughed up the first one quite a bit. I filed down the next 3 as I was too lazy to get out the dremmel tool and it gave me more control. This helped a lot more and they fit like a glove. I used a screw drive to get the old ones out which wasn’t difficult. Don’t forget to grease the glide pins. When I replace my brakes up north; I try to change more than just the brakes as I get older. Replace the boots and grease the pins and replace any corroded pins. Don’t turn the drums; buy replacements and buy quality parts so you don’t have to revisit in less than year. Check pad fitment and file edges to make sure they slide in the bracket. Just some advice that could save you from years of brake repair grief down the road.

Good quality, took little time to get it to pop in. I used a screw driver and hammer to get old out. And used a socket over rubber boot to knock new in. Just as a tip 😉

I ordered the AC Delco pins and they were almost exactly alike. Same problem, diameter too large and would collapse with pressure applied. So I used my grinder and thinned them a little about half way then greased them. Worked like a charm.NOTE:I measured the diameter of the original boot insert and it's about a millimeter smaller.

I installed these on a 2008 chev 2500hd. Used a chisel to remove the old ones and applied a light coat of vaseline on outside of accordion booth and inserted booth inside a 13/16†socket so socket pushes on the steel flange of the booth. Drive in with a hammer and voila.

As mentionned by others buyers, had to be trimmed doen a little bit, I used a grinder (dremel tool), and then gently hammered it in place. Good replacement boot if you're willing to make small modifications.
