very poor quality...springs began failing within 3 months of install (on a weekend cruiser). Checked them as far as tensional strength, they had 15% less than the old ones I took off.....also the wire diameter is slightly smaller than previous hardware......Called mfg.....although everyone was very, polite, I almost laughed at their response....."Do you have the plastic packaging...it has the specific production code on it", I answered, no,.......their response, "Then there is no way to verify it is an authentic Carlson product since it was bought on the internet".I'm not doubting this is a possibility, but, their I don't care attitude clearly brings into question if they really care about the QA of their brake components....IMHO, they should have requested we send them the springs for evaluation, as it would be very easy to tell if they were most likely Carlson products or a copy-cat...then it would be important that amazon know as well...since these products are highly potentially dangerous and amazon could have been frauded.
