Your cart is empty.Wet strength tissue paper is an art tissue paper like no other! Designed not to fall apart when wet is perfect for model making and other art activities. Once wet is can be draped over structures made with wire, willow sticks etc and then it dries to a tight hard layer of tissue paper. Traditionally it has been used to make large structures such as willow lanterns and models. Lay a sheet of the wet strength tissue paper down and wet with a a diluted PVA mix. Then place the wet strength tissue paper over the skeleton of your structure. Leave to dry and you it dries hard with whilst remaining like tissue. Put a candle in your lantern for an amazing effect. A great alternative to deli paper – once you have tried you will not go back. This tissue paper is stronger and more versatile. Each wet strength tissue paper sheet is approx. 70 by 60 cm or 27 inches by 19 inches and is 17gsm thick. Bigger and thicker sheets than standard deli paper. Like deli paper our wet strength tissue paper can be used for gelli printing. Its strength when wet will give you fantastic results and make your art work look superb. It is also great for model aircraft making. Layer the tissue over the craft skeleton and it will add strength but not weight. Also great for painting on – it will take most paints and inks without falling apart of bleeding through. Once your structure is made you can overlap with coloured tissue paper to get many effects.

I feel that the negative reviews of this product are unfair.This is NOT regular, decorative tissue paper that you use for gift wrapping. If that’s what you need, look elsewhere.This tissue paper is WET TISSUE PAPER. That means that it is especially made to not fall apart when wet. So it is good for crafts such as decoupage, mixed media, etc. You can see in my attached photo how I decoupaged a piece of this tissue, that I had previously stamped a black leaf pattern and stenciled a gold pattern onto, over some old sheet music on this mixed-media painting I’m working on. (It’s still a work-in-progress.)

I use this for gel printing and other mixed media projects. It holds up very well to wet media. I doesn't disintegrate like regular tissue paper does. I will always have a stash in my studio.

Delicate and strong enough to pull Gelli prints. Love the transparency of tissue in gelli printing. I will buy again.

Flimsier than I expected and I thought it would shrink to fit. Seems expensive for what it is.

I purchased this paper for my gelli printing and I love it. Much stronger than plain tissue paper. Nice quality and I would purchase again.

Glad I heard about this paper on YouTube. This brand is great. Crafters, artists, mixed media artists, makers, etc. should have this product among the materials and supplies!

Cercavo una carta velina 'wet strength', cioè resistente all'acqua. Lavoro con le piastre gel, e mi occorre per realizzare stampe colorate da usare nei collage. La velina normale non assorbe i colori come questa, si raggrinzisce e spesso si rompe. Questa velina è invece adatta alle necessità di chi lavora con 'gel plate'
