As a dog owner, I've struggled for years with keeping my carpets clean and free of pet hair. I recently decided to try out a carpet rake, and I must say, it has been a game-changer. The carpet rake excels at removing dog hair. It effortlessly lifts and collects hair from deep within the carpet fibers, which vacuums often miss. After just one pass, my carpet looked significantly cleaner, and the amount of hair it collected was impressive. It's especially effective on thicker, plush carpets where hair tends to get deeply embedded.Using the carpet rake is straightforward. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold, and the rake glides smoothly across the carpet. It's lightweight, making it easy to maneuver, and I appreciate that it doesn't require any electricity or batteries. The build quality of the carpet rake is excellent. The teeth are sturdy and well-spaced, ensuring they effectively capture hair without damaging the carpet. After several uses, it shows no signs of wear and tear, suggesting it will last a long time. Cleaning the rake is simple. After each use, I just run a comb through the teeth to remove the collected hair. This quick maintenance routine keeps the rake functioning optimally and ready for the next use. I'm extremely satisfied with my carpet rake. It has made a noticeable difference in the cleanliness of my home and significantly reduced the amount of dog hair on my carpets. For any dog owner struggling with pet hair, a carpet rake is a must-have tool. It's efficient, easy to use, and delivers excellent results. In conclusion, the carpet rake is a highly effective tool for removing dog hair from carpets. Its ease of use, durability, and excellent performance make it a worthwhile investment for any pet owner.

**** Update *****I had not complained to the seller at all, just figured it was the way this type of product would be, but they reached out and offered me a longer handle to make this more usable for me. I am deeply appreciative of their customer service! Highly recommend!******************Not much else to say, I don’t like most metal rakes of this sort because they’re too hard on the carpet. This picks up the hair well without damaging the fibers. My carpet is only a few years old and isn’t matted, so I’m pleased.I’m a 5’4†woman and the short handle hurts my back. I’ll likely just buy a wood broom handle and screw it onto that.

I've got three pets and all four of us shed quite a bit, so I was very interested in giving this product a shot. Overall, I'm rather pleased with it, but it does have some drawbacks.First, the cons:1) Assembly was more difficult than expected. In theory, it's a very simple matter of screwing the rods together for the handle, then sliding the head onto the last segment. My experience might be a fluke, but I found the opening in the plastic head was not quite big enough for the metal rod. I tried to brute force it, but I couldn't get the head more than half-way on, and scraped up my hand trying to get a grip on the head. When I took the head off, there were gouges in the plastic from the edges of the metal rod. I ended up needing to use some Vaseline on the metal rod to make it work. Luckily, this was only an issue once, but I could see this being difficult for someone without a lot of hand strength -- at least if they get an ill-fitting part like I did.2) The handle is short. I'm only 5'6" and I still have to lean over.3) The handle is very uncomfortable to hold. The plastic connectors have a slightly sharp edge to them, so you're better off gripping the metal. It's definitely not designed with ergonomics in mind.4) This does not work on Berber-style (looped) carpet, so keep this in mind based on your carpet type. I have one small area of Berber carpet in my house and I used the rake on it first; it accomplished nothing. I gave up due to the lack of results and concern that it might damage the carpet. But the pros:1) Great on regular, low-pile carpet. Picks up hair like a dream. The other reviews showing giant wads of hair do not lie. I've got a pale-coloured carpet; I couldn't even *see* the hair, but this thing still managed to rake up tufts of dog and cat hair. I've got a Dyson Ball and it cannot compete with this ridiculous little rake when it comes to picking up hair.2) It's cheap.3) It's lightweight and small enough to stash away, giving it a great advantage in convenience over hauling out a vacuum.Ultimately, it's not without flaws. It is not comfortable to use, but it is effective. As long as you don't mind the drawbacks, it does exactly what it needs to do. Although I'd lean toward giving this 3.5 stars, I rounded up because the disadvantages are relatively minor compared to its functionality, particularly weighed against the low cost.I'm probably going to try to pad out the handle to make it more comfortable to hold, because I do see myself using this rake quite often.

This is an amazing little gadget! I went around all my baseboards and furniture and was blown away by how much dog hair my vacuum cleaner was missing, even after vacuuming 2-3 times a week! Night and day difference in the carpet! If you have a dog or cat or rabbit that sheds, then this is the tool you need to get the hair you don’t see! Love it!

I was incredibly skeptical of how this would clean up matted dog hair from our rug. After I quickly assembled the rake I got to work on our family room carpet and was amazed by how the fur was lifted out of the carpet. I’m embarrassed to even show these pictures by how much fur came out, even after regular vacuuming. We have a yellow lab so he sheds a lot. Money well spent and kicking myself for not buying one sooner. I don’t normally write reviews but this product is well worth it.

I have 8 cats and I vacuum daily so I expected a WOW factor. Was let down, no wow factor. It brought up some hair but not like some of the reviews show. The only way I could get half the amount of some of the reviews was if I didn't vacuum for a week. Not saying the people vacumm by any means! In addition, the handle is very flimsy and could easily snap if you really want to dig deep and get a good clean.
