Gave it as a gift to my grandson who is 8. I remembered my brothers having one just like it when they were about his age and the really enjoyed it. It is made really well. I enjoyed playing a game with him. You can use sticks or your fingers and we both decided to use our fingers. His mother will teach him to play the100 games on it in time

Truly a game for all ages.1. Nurtures eye-hand coordination.2. Boosts problem solving skills.3. Subtle geometry lessons.4. Improve focus, concentration.5. Enhance cognitive skills, reasoning.Relax or have friendly competition while improving your mind. Build tactical skills and foresight. Knocking wooden pieces around the board is pretty satisfying, too.Very well made. Durable.Great design and colorOnly drawback: short sticks. Bought pair of longer carrom sticks and it's easier for adults to play.Very highly recommended.

Like many other reviewers, I grew up playing carrom. The board my parents had is long gone, and I decided to try one of these, instead. I've had it five years now, and it has held up well. When I was a kid, the "buttons" (as we called them) were made of wood. Then they went to plastic, but they were too heavy, and tended to break. The plastic buttons in this set are just about the right weight, and seem to be made of a lot more durable plastic. I tried to break one of the shooters (white) by shooting it as hard as I could against the sides of the board, and it took everything I had. The one deficiency I saw when it was new, was that the sides of the board were not solid enough to give a good rebound to the buttons. This is because the sides are not glued to the board itself. A simple fix, just squeeze carpenter's glue into the joint between the board and sides, allowing it to run down into the joint. When it dries, the sides will be solid, and the buttons will bounce much better. Do one side at a time, and let the glue set up, before moving to another side. Also, a light coat of furniture wax (like Johnsons paste wax), applied and buffed, will improve the action of the buttons greatly. All in all, a good product, for the money.

I played Carroms when I was a kid and it was a hoot. I bought a board in the 1990's or so and had a lot of fun with it...I don't know what happened to that one. This new one might not be the quality of the 60's ones I grew up with...but then, they had to be better built to withstand the rigors of daily childhood play... I did buy two real VanLan 3-foot cues. The "cues" supplied with the board are just 2-foot wooden dowels with plastic tips...good enough for kids but unsatisfactory for adults. The plastic rings are still good quality and the board resounds with that solid "click" when you sink a hard-hit shot.I guess you could play the 100+ games they claim, but who cares? "Carroms" is what I grew up with and I still abide by all the arcane rules I learned back then. It is a loosey-goosey pool game on a short table and it is still as fun as I remember. Come over and play!

I found out about this game while scrolling through IG and someone I follow was at home playing Carrom with her family. I thought it was a cool looking game so I went on YouTube and found videos to learn how to play it. It reminds me of a mix between a game the boys on the block used to play years ago called Tops (if you choose to use your fingers). It’s also like tabletop Pool. I chose this one because it has a bunch of other games to play. The quality is amazing. Very sturdy. Another person who reviewed this complained that the corners are plastic, those are covers so that your table won’t get scratched and if you’re using the side with the checker board then the other side facing down has little wooden pronges that’s needed for another game. So the plastic corners serve a purpose and so the board won’t slide all over the place. This pic was from this evening, myself and my nephew working on our skills because this was our first time playing it. I can’t say enough great things about this game board and I highly recommend it especially during this pandemic when we’re all getting back to basics and learning all over again how to enjoy family time together the old fashioned way.

Fantastic; same quality board as the one I had 50 years ago. Arrive on time but the packing could be better, and box should be marked "Do not stack heavy items on top" purchase for 7 grand children ages 5 to 16.

Used to play this when I was a kid. I was so happy to see this again that I bought 2 of them! One for my son and two grandsons - and another for my daughter and granddaughter. Both families love them! I never knew there were so many varieties of games you could play with this board set - I was impressed. Back in the day we only played one or two of the game varieties so it's nice to learn there are so many more games we can all learn and enjoy playing. The only small issue I had with this game set is that there's no legs or stand that comes with it, so you'd have to prop the game up on a table or something to play... my advice is to use a folding table - like the little wooden tv dinner ones you see all the time, works great with those and it allows the corner pocket nets to hang freely when playing. Other than that small issue, it's a wonderful purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun game you can play with family, friends or even alone - good for just about any age, child to adult (wouldn't recommend for a very small child/toddler due to the small pieces but if supervised with an adult, should be no problem).

Awesome. Shipped fast. The board is pretty well made especially being compared to the quality of products being produced these days. Looking forward to trying out all the games you can play with this one board. Would recommend it. In fact I am purchasing another one as a Christmas Gift.
