Have used around 20 magnifiers through the years for plant trichones. From loupe to digital. Almost all a complete waste of money. This is the best and easiest to use for the money. I read a lot of operator error and this is how I adjust. Get a white piece of 95 brightness copy paper with some bold black laser printing. Now line up on edge of a letter and adjust BOTH adjusters starting at top one. Go back and forth couple times. When you get it perfect for your eyes it should not need adjusting again. Lay object to view on another 95 brightness paper . If higher than paper you can now adjust moving whole magnifier up and down and should not have to adjust magnifier again. I had one but now got the 4 pack. My wife has hers marked and adjusted. I would have one for each viewer adjusted a head of time or you will try your patience going back and forth. I have a spare and two Xmas presents that will be well received for a few bucks over other expensive gifts.

I bought these for elementary students to use. They are a very fun intro to a microscope and can be used in a variety of ways--like directly on objects or skin. The zoom is simple and allows practice to slowly adjust the zoom to get the focus correctly. The best part is the light lasts a while and is a very easy switch to another AA battery when it runs out, unlike the other brand I purchased that takes a screwdriver and watch batteries.These are really fun for inquisitive kids. I recommend trying them on different fabrics, leaves, sliced fruit or veggies, skin and on a strand of hair.They are a great value, hold up well to frequent use and are fun!

I ordered 4. Very happy with the quality!! Durable, great size, bright light, excellent magnification.Some ppl complained that it was hard to use. It’s basic microscope rules AND comes with directions!Needs 1 AA battery. Excited to explore with my grandsons!!!

Ooohhh these are so cool. I’m a microbiologist and my 4 year old is always asking me questions about my job. This has allowed me to bring him closer to understand my world. These are great quality and super fun for my kid. Viewing ability is great, even for a 4 year old! So worth the money and I’m glad I got the 4 pack. Everyone in my family has their own. :)
