Nice toy set, a little smaller than expected, but it works well. The toaster is 4.75" long x 3" wide x 3.75" tall. The kettle is about 5.5" tall. Plastic seems durable and thick enough to last and has a nice smooth glossy finish on it. The toaster knob rotates and clicks, but has no effect on the toast down duration. I opened the toaster up (4 screws on the bottom) to see how it works, and it uses a single spring and a suction cup. When you push the toast (or lever) down, the suction cup holds the toast compartment floor down against the force of the spring. When the suction cup eventually lets go (about 10 seconds), the spring throws the toast upward. It is very fun to wait and be surprised when the toast flies up. The toast will usually fly out, sometimes landing back in the slot, other times falling out. The kettle has a clear window gauge in it (opposite the spout) and little silver lever under it that moves up and down. The kettle lid opens and closes nicely.I purchased this set for my child, as well as a larger set with more items (as a gift for another child): Casdon Little Cook Morphy Richards Kitchen Setand the toaster and kettle were identical between these two sets.

SUPER SMALL! If I had realized that beforehand I wouldn't have spent 20 dollars on it. I would have only spent 12 at most.

The tea kettle is a perfect size and the toaster actually pops up with the toast! Very cute set!

Cute however toaster button does not work that well you have to push toast down with your hand.

My 2 year old loves watching the toast pop out of our toaster so this was the perfect toy for her. The toast does fly out of it...which she gets a kick out of. I get tired of picking it up...but I do that all day anyway. She’s happy...so it was worth it!

Purchased for 2 year old grandaughter, to complete her "kitchen"Toaster was an instant hit, especially waiting for the "bread " to pop up.Kettle will be more fun though when she is allowed to fill it with water. (poor Mummy)
