This cap fits my Selmer Series III alto perfectly, and I'm especially happy that there's also a cut out for the octave key mechanism. It will go a long way to prevent me from trips to the repair shop to adjust that rod. The plastic is tough and seems durable. It's a worthy upgrade over the normal cylindrical end caps, and the price makes it a no-brainer!

I was told that the giant “q-tip” that comes inserted into many “budget” saxophones here shouldn’t be stored inside a freshly played instrument because it would hold the moisture against your pads. So of course, I needed an octave mechanism protector for when I put the tenor back in the case.This product fits snugly but not too tight. Since they and my case are both black, I put my initials on with a silver marker to the end to make it easier to find in the case. A good product to help protect my first sax without breaking the bank.
