Well, my mom would be 117 next Spring, 2025. She was born on May15th, 1908. In the 1980s she made a very nice cassette tape of her past life. Only, we just discovered it. She wanted us to remember what she sounded like and to tell us some things we should know about. She sadly passed away in the 12th month, upon the 12th day, at the 12th hour, with me, her 12th child telling her how much we all love her. That was in 1989. Her mother, God rest her beloved soul, was born 1889. I was so glad to have this cassette player and we all listened to Mama speak once again. The audio ear speakers are like clear stereo. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to bring back our dearly departed. Felt like she was here with us for a while.

I got this Walkman to complete my daughters Halloween costume.Some pros: it’s just as you remember, it comes with headphones and a microphone. You can play a cassette and still hear it without the headphones, which was not a possibility in the 80s, Also has radio play.My con: It does not have a belt or pocket clip. So I’ve had to order something and hope that it stays put long enough to make it through Halloween.Also, if your kid has never used a cassette, the fun thing is trying to teach them how to use it so that they don’t ruin it. And blank cassettes are still available so she can make recordings.

Exactly what I was looking for. Feature rich, and similar to units like this I've been using for years. Good sound for one day, then would no longer produce sound on AM, FM, or tape settings. Volume control tried at various setting. Nope. Tried a different tape. Nope. Played the same tape in a different player and it worked fine. Exchanged the "walkman" for a new unit, and got the similar results, with this one lasting for 5 days before it stopped producing sound.Thinking I was either the unluckiest customer in the world or was doing something wrong, I attempted to contact seller's customer service. The CS link on the item listing page, as well as the seller's home page, simply takes you to a product listing for an am/fm radio. Seller claims "7/24" customer service. However, they do not actually list a way to contact them.I gave up and returned the second unit for a refund. sigh.

I have been trying to find am affordable option for cassette players on Amazon and this model may be a tad more expensive then other listings but where those ones tend to crap out a couple months after purchase this has remained fully functional and dependable, and has never once eaten a tape, you never can be too carefull when dealing with older technology.
