I became the proud owner of two kittens on Halloween this past fall, one boy and one girl. We will be getting them neutered and spayed in the next couple weeks, so they will need a surgical collar to prevent licking of the wound and allow for proper healing at least for the first few days. What I like:* Love the plaid design* Made of mesh so no hard plastic to make scratches* Drawstring to adjust for neck size* Able to fold it back to allow the kitten to drink or eat* Easy to apply with Velcro closureCons:* Does not come in extra small - I knew this so no star deductedExperience: I still have a couple weeks to go before their surgical date but I have been trying to get them used to the collar. So far, they try and try to get it off but they can't so I believe this will be exactly what I need when they do get surgery.

This is a really cute Elizabethan collar. I purchased it for my kitten who just got neutered today. They sent him home with a cheapo plastic one. Now, we all know cats aren't fond of anything stuck on their head and he doesn't like either of them. But this is cute and it works just as well as the plastic one. Perfect size for my 9 lb cat. I hope we don't have to use it again! One sugery is enough.

My poor girl needs a cone to prevent licking a hot spot and this cone has worked out great. The large pad of velcro makes it easy to put on and then the adjustable bungee through the neckline makes it so she can't get it off. Now she has worn this for a week and I will be honest, it came off twice, but that was more due to her wanting to escape from medicine. To make sure this doesn't happen, I just need to make sure the bungee hasn't loosened.

Wonderful little cone of shame for a little kitty who got fixed and we really liked how soft it was on her neck and she could see well through the mesh, I love the burberry style tartan pattern. Very pleased with it.

I ordered this adjustable cone for my puppy to wear after her upcoming spay. She's a toy breed and has a tiny neck so I needed to find something with a drawstring that was very adjustable. This should be fairly comfortable for her as the neckline is cloth and adjustable and the cone is a fairly soft and bendable mesh material which is very breathable. I'm slightly worried that this won't be sturdy enough to really stop her from licking at her incision, but I'm hopeful it will work well enough to keep her protected without making her uncomfortable.Overall, it's an interesting concept and I would cautiously recommend it!

Measure carefully as these cones don't have large range of adjustability. The velcro can be loosened by a persistent cat. My cat had it off in 30 seconds. But after carefully aligning the velcro and ensuring it was pressed together securely, it did the job. Consequently the cat would have given it a much lower rating. There isn't much headroom inside the cone. This didn't allow for the cat to eat or drink comfortably. But it does allow the cat to sleep comfortably and get in and out of the litterbox.

Perhaps "love" is overstating it since cats almost universally hate e-collars, lol, and what they hate I also often hate. But as cones go, this one is exceptionally nice. The sides are mesh, so a cat can see through it rather than being completely blinkered for however long he/she has to wear it, and it has the all-important Velcro closure, plus a drawstring to fine-tune the fit. It's very lightweight and flexible.I ordered the brown because the color (actually more beige) appealed to me more than the other options. It's actually quite attractive for an e-collar.Definitely recommended.

This soft cone is perfect for post-surgery. It's gentle on my cat's neck and stays in place well.
