My cats are definitely eating slower and i love the quality of the actual bowls, they’re not a thin breakable plastic

Super cute. My fat cat now eats slower and doesn’t try to steal his sisters food. He also hasn’t gaged from eating to fast since purchasing

The bowl does look like the photo. It's plastic and the expected quality. However, it doesn't seem to slow down my cat very well. She still manages to devour her food in record time as if there's no attempt even being made.

My cats already have 2 other slow feeders shaped just like this one, but made out of ceramic rather than melamine. We've tried several other styles of slow feeders, but this type has been the best for them by being a good balance between forcing them to not eat so quickly while not being difficult to the point of frustration. We've been looking into getting more of these bowls so as to be able to have clean bowls for them to eat out of while the others go through the dishwasher and I was excited to see this same type of bowl but in a lighter material. Our boys are big guys (15 lbs) and do move the ceramic bowls a little while eating, which has been a slight cause for concern since we feed them on a counter up off of the floor; if they ever did get wild with the bowls and shove them off, I'd be afraid that the ceramic would break or chip and maybe hurt someone.I ran this new bowl through the dishwasher before putting it out, no problems there. It's a bit lighter than the ceramic bowls we have and the sides of the melamine bowl are a bit thinner, but the same otherwise. My cats have shown no preference between the ceramic and melamine bowls. Despite the slightly lighter weight, the melamine bowl didn't move any more than the ceramic bowls do during meal times. If we end up buying more bowls, I'm planning on getting melamine ones rather than ceramic so as to not have to worry about what would happen if it were to get knocked off. This specific bowl did come with a set of rubbery circles with adhesive backing which I'm assuming we could apply to the bottom of the bowl to help it from moving around. Currently, I'm not planning on using these since the bowl didn't move that much while our cats were eating out of it and I don't know how well they would stay on after going through the dishwasher, but it's nice that they included them since that may not be a concern for those who handwash only instead.

I ordered the Cat Slow Feeder Bowl Melamine - Pastel Series Slow Feeding Cat Bowl.It says it’s for a cat, but I actually got it for my miniature poodle! As he’s gotten older, we switched him from a hard kibble to a soft food. He now gobbles it up way too fast and has gotten to where he chokes a bit on his food because he takes bites that are too big. This bowl has been great to prevent him from taking those big bites. It forces him to take smaller bites that are more appropriate sized and to just generally eat slower overall.I love the blue color and that it’s such a lightweight nice looking bowl, it kind of almost looks like a rose inside. He may not love this bowl, but I definitely do! LOL.It’s just the right size for him, and I love the overall look of it.It’s been really easy to clean. For me, I spray particles off with my kitchen sprayer attachment, spritz with a vinegar water mixture, let that set for a few, then rinse off and wipe with a paper towel.I feel like you could also wash this in the dishwasher but, I don’t know if the rubber grippers would last on the dishwasher though so I probably wouldn’t put them on if I was planning on dishwashing it.The rubber grippers that you stick to the bottom have worked really well tho if you do want to use them. The only critique that I have is that I wish the rubber grippers were built into it so that I wouldn’t have to pick between using it in a dishwasher or having the rubber grippers.Overall, this is a great product and I am super happy with it.

While this slow feeder bowl was originally designed for cats, this slow feeder bowl has been a perfect fit for my petite puppy instead. Its size is just right for a small pet, whether it be a cat or a dog, ensuring they aren't overwhelmed by a large feeder dish. The bowl is thoughtfully crafted with little banana-shaped separators that effectively slow down our puppy's eating pace, preventing overindulgence without making mealtime a chore. Made from sturdy yet lightweight melamine, it's incredibly easy to clean and feels smooth to the touch. I also appreciate the optional grippers for the bottom that keep the bowl securely in place on non-carpeted floors, it was a nice functional touch.Food is now distributed rather evenly thanks to the clever design, striking an ideal balance between slowing down my puppy's eating speed and allowing her to enjoy her meal in a rather timely manner. Overall, this bowl is a great addition to our pet care routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a functional and well-made slower feeder bowl.

This works but I wish the insides were taller than what they are. This holds a little under a cup of kibble. My 5ish pound cat thinks she's a fatty and eats all the time so we are hoping this bowl would slow her down. I did some but not alot as it's not deep.I have a like/dislike with it...1. It hold a decent amount of food.2. It's not plastic so you shouldn't have to worry about "stud chin"3. With it not being deep, you don't have to worry about whisker fatigueDislike...1. Wish it held a little more food2. Would be nicer if it was a little deeper to stop my "fatty" from eating so fastMy likes do outweigh my dislikes... to I'll keep it 😊

I got this bowl for one of my cats who tends to inhale his food too quickly and then (unfortunately) throw some of it up. I already have a similar one for another cat and I can tell it’s slowing her down when she eats her kibble so I was hoping this might do the same for my guy. What I really like about this bowl is the open flower design. It’s not too intricate and fussy but puts up just enough detail to slow down the inhaling a bit. It’s great that the bowl is shallow and wide, which is perfectly suited to little cat faces and their wide whiskers. It’s nice that the whiskers don’t have to touch the sides of the bowl. The fact that it’s made of melamine is a bit reassuring that it won’t break as easily as ceramic. And it’s easy to wash out.The bowl comes with little non-slip stickers for the base but I don’t use them as I sit this bowl atop an elevated feeder platform and it stays put.You know how when cats see a hole in their food coverage at the bottom of the bowl, they think you’re starving them? I’ve noticed that when my cats see the obstacles poking out they give me a bit of a look. I have to get used to giving them less food and making them work for it - that is the whole point of the slow feeder. This does seem to be working so far for my guy. They are on large dental care kibbles so what I’m finding now is they will pick up a kibble, turn away to crunch it, and leave more crumbs and pieces on the floor for the hired help to clean up. But he doesn’t seem to be hoovering up the kibble the way he used to and for that I’m glad.I would definitely recommend giving this cat feeder bowl a go, to help get your furry friends eating at a more reasonable pace.

I've tried a LOT of slow feeders in my time - my cat is an absolute gannet, and he tries to inhale his food as fast as possible. Slow feeders such as this are vital for making sure he doesn't get sick! It's a really sturdy bowl - my cat has thrown bowls before, and this one is no exception. It's been accidentally knocked off the counter more times than I can count when he's been trying to get to his dinner as I'm making it. It's survived each time without so much as a scratch. It's a good size - I like to spread his wet food out to make it more effort for him to eat, so a larger bowl is good for that. It's a bit tricky to clean, as a result of the shape of it - it's not the worst slow feeder I've ever had to clean (the one he had as a kitten was a NIGHTMARE) but it's not as easy as washing out a regular bowl, that's for sure. It does say 'dishwasher safe', but I've not felt comfortable trying so have only ever handwashed. It doesn't slip around on the floor, which is good! When he's eating it stays in the same place. However, he does have a habit of smacking a bowl across the floor if he can't get to the food fast enough. This one seems to be on the level of slowfeeding where hasn't felt the need to launch it - but that does mean it isn't the 'slowest' slow-feeder you could get, as it hasn't frustrated him!I'd definitely recommend trying this one out! it's a lovely slow feeder!
