SilverVine
Silvervine is a plant native to the mountainous regions of eastern Asia. It has two compounds to attract cats — actinidine and dihydroactinidiolide. When exposed to silvervine, cats enter a euphoric state that involves behaviours like rolling, chin and cheek rubbing, meowing, drooling and licking, pretty much like catnip would do on cats. SilverVine is more potent due to the presence of the two cat attractants as opposed to catnip's one. Pet owners are finding that silvervine is the perfect way to get a lounging cat up and moving.
Catnip
Catnip is a perennial herb native to Europe and Central Asia. Catnip contains one compound (nepetalactone) that attracts cats. Nice item, quick shipping. Cat is interested but not quite as much as catnip. Hoping he'll decide it's fun to chew this instead of things he shouldn't chew.

My kitties could not get enough of these! They lasted us quite a while. I was impressed. I have two cats, and both really took to playing with these sticks and rubbing up against them for hours. The only downfall that ultimately cannot be helped is that your cats are bound to kick these around the house and lose them under furniture. We are still finding them under couches and tables months after using them, but the cats get excited when we free them from the dusty depths of the beneath the sofa. All in all great buy! Less messy than catnip, but equally entertaining for your fur babies!

I have always purchased silvervine sticks for my cat and he loves them. This brand is no good. dried out, no smell and he is not interested in them at all. I could have done better with a stick from my lawn. A waste of money

Was surprised that the sticks were so large. I broke them in half (these stick are really hard to break in half) for my kittys and they went crazy over them. They love to rub their bodies all over the sticks (kind of like when I give them catnip). They chew on them a little and I find them all over the house. I gave them 3 stars as I am not thrilled over them but my kittys love them, soooooooo :)

My little one is teething and I thought these would be great for him. He is chewing on a stick he found so I thought these would be better. So far, he is not as interested as I hoped but I am working on it and thinking he will. I can get him interested for a minute if I hold it up for him. You can't beat the cost and amount of product, but, as with everything with cats.....you never know what will work or what will not!

My cat seems to enjoy this very much. Please be sure to properly peel the 'wrap' off each stick (the 'bark'/'wood'). I am also around when I give it to him, as it's a potential choking hazard. So whenever I give it to him, I supervise him and then put it away. It makes his breath smell much better and he bites it (so I believe it helps clean plaque as well).

It is pretty interesting cat toy and health tool. But with my 4 cats it totally depends on their mood if they play with the sticks or not.
