I would think that a cat would appreciate being able to groom itself against the brush. My cat however does not appreciate it. My cat doesn't appreciate anything that I buy her. The brush is sturdy and stiff plastic. The tape included sticks well. Make sure of placement before sticking as it holds less with movement. The packaging can be used as a fun treat toy. My cat played with it for 5 minutes and then decided it wasn't worth the treat for her trouble. I would buy this again, especially if you have a cat that likes things.

I really wanted to like these. In fact, I bought three right off the bat. We have three cats at the moment and they all love to have their faces brushed and to rub against cabinets, etc. for the self-face-massage.This item is made of two parts. There is a hard plastic outer shell that has nail holes, an outer rim, and several hard tall ribs for structural support (I assume). Then there is the soft inner part, which is the functional element, that has the long soft spikes for face rubbing. The inner part can be folded and manipulated in order to place it under the shell's outer rim, or to remove it from the shell. The problem I encountered occurred when attempting to affix the item to the corner of a cabinet/wall. The shell structure is molded in such a way that there is no space hide enough for the head of a hammer to land. This is especially the case right near the nail holes, which have been placed just inside the rim. I tried MacGuyvering a screwdriver handle to sit atop the nail heads while I landed the hammer on the driver handle. But the space was just too tight in between the rim and the structural ribs of the shell. Even though the nails went in, and the shell was affixed to the cabinet, it was at the cost of smashing out one of the ribs and a section of the rim.Because I lost a section of the rim during installation, the inner brush part doesn't quite stay in unless I bend a couple of other nails around the edge. (Note: the item does come with some tiny pieces of double sided tape, measuring about 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch each. Just plain insufficient to keep the brush up on the wall if a cat is using it day in and day out.)Long story short: I think I am just going to nail the brush part directly to the wall next time.

I have two cats, and was very hesitant based of reviews of products like this one. Others had stated their cats took quite some time to take to the product. However, my older cat has always loved when we hold his brush for him to rub his face on. Both cats took to this IMMEDIETLY!! I don't love that it is on adhesive strips but that's just a personal thing for me. The product is sturdy and gives my apartment kitties another form of enjoyment.

Originally I bought one of these from Petco for a trial run. I figured that it was worth a couple of bucks to test it out as a hairball preventative. What a great move!!As it turned out, the Cat-It was such a hit that I ordered another one! I had accidentally mounted the first one too low so I put the second one directly above it; that configuration works out well since some like to scrape their faces on the lower one and some rub their bodies on the upper one. Also, one of our cats (Penny) is soooo all about cat brushes that she'd shove her face all over the brushes my husband keeps in the remote control caddy (convenient for brushing when they jump on his lap), so hard and so long that we were scared she'd damage herself! Now she almost never does it, so win-win!Of our four cats, one of the long-hairs (Penny obviously!) LOVES it; my husband will hear what sounds like very aggressive clawing and he'll fuss, then discover it's Penny or Tiger (short-hair) scrubbing their face -- and he'll apologize!Based on our results, I bought two of these for my grandkitties last Christmas, and they were one of my kids' favorite gifts. They also have four cats: two really like them, one doesn't care for them, and one is absolutely crazy for them! (And luckily, he's the one with the most fur!)I also bought a pair of these for my mother for Mother's Day/ her birthday. Once again, a hit! Of her two cats, one likes them and one ignores them.So out of ten cats, two are OBSESSED with them; two really *really* like them ; three use them occasionally, and three really couldn't care less.My takeaway:▪︎Well made▪︎HIGH cat approval!▪︎Great price and value▪︎Removable / cleanablebristles are a definite plus!▪︎Channels for catnip = 100% PAWESOME (just don't let the cat knock the brush out of your hand or they'll never get out of your way! haha!)▪︎Corner positioning is excellent for "scrubbies"However▪︎Like other reviews state, skip the adhesives and go for nails or screws; besides being more secure, they're easier to reposition, and when you remove them it's easier to repair the wall / etc... there are even nail holes already built in!Note: Having used both nails and screws, I would highly recommend screws; it's hard to get a hammer into those small spaces without destroying the unit (I had to use a countersink), and screws are more easily repositioned or removed▪︎Pay attention to whether your groomer is facing the proper direction; the angles are different so you may get different results▪︎My cats (and the other furkids) LOVE the rigid bristles, but not everyone's cat will; be prepared for that. I believe there are other, softer versions of this product, so do your research

I put it on a cat favorite doorway jamb, and every time a cat even slightly rubs it, it falls off. I even tried sticking it on a smooth lacquered finished end table leg. No good there either.Great idea, but if it won't stay on whatever surface you put it on, what good is it? I ended up discarding it because I got tired of picking it up.

The brush is designed to help cats groom themselves, which has been fantastic for reducing shedding around the house. My cat took to it right away, rubbing against it and getting a good brush with minimal effort from me. The brush's design is smart, too—it’s easy to attach to various surfaces, and the bristles are gentle enough not to irritate her skin. On the downside, the brush can sometimes be tricky to clean, as cat hair tends to get stuck in the bristles.

My two cats love these self-groomers, as do four other kitties that I have given them to. They are very easy to clean simply by sliding a comb, comb handle, or fork between the bristles, which are also easily removable for washing if desired. I like to stack two groomers one above the other so that kitties can get more full coverage and rub their bodies as well as their heads and throats and this works fantastically well. They stick remarkably well to painted walls provided the paint isn't so old, dirty, or cheap as to flake off and take the groomer down with it, in which case the screw mount is the better option, but my two cats use theirs constantly and all four groomers are still firmly attached to the walls years after installation. I'm giving one to another kitty for Christmas this year! Great product. I highly recommend.
