It's a bit big for my taste but it gets the job done and it saves you a time and a trip

The string is thin, but holds the chalk well and is much better than any chalk line that I've used. I've used both the hooks to hook on an edge and the red plastic end to go around a nail. It winds up quickly and you just have to press the center of the handle to let out the line without the handle spinning around.

It’s kind of bulky, or bigger than I expected. But holds chalk good and has a thinner line, which is exactly what I wanted. Good deal!

The hook part isn't tapered/curved/pointed enough to catch on a thin edge, ie metal roofing panels. Even on luber it wasn't great, 1 out of 4 attemps would result in successful snapong the line. The snap back feature is a gimmick too. Mine is so stiff when/if you do manage to get the hook set it just sticks up and never makes it back down to "snap" the hook free. (Mind you I was only able to get the hook to stay a few times without a helper) really wanted to like it, but it's just too much of a pain for its cost. Really like the bright green chalk thay came with it though.

I use this for drywall board and first thing i would like to see is a shorter claw with the same design so i can get accurate corner cuts lined up. having the claw sitting out about a half inch from where it grabs really only makes it good for straight line snaps. i love it but im gonna have to take off the claw and put a shorter one on it. everything else about the design i love. the cord in it is silky to run on your fingers and elastic for stretching tight.

I used this chalk line for about a week before it broke. The line is weak and snaps if you pull on it hard to get the sag out when siding. It also locked up on me with about 10’ of line ran out. It’s decent for light use, but if you plan to use it everyday it’s junk. The $10 dewalt chalk lines are better.

I just got this new chalk line, and it's great so far! The chalk reel seems very rugged and well made. The string is very good quality. I like the rubber grip. I also like that the string isn't in the way when you're filling it up with chalk. The chalk reel is as good or better than any other I ever used in every way I can think of, but the star of this show is definitely the releasable tip. It saves so much time. Once you've used this tip, you won't ever want to use a standard tip again!

Everything about this chalk line is superb! It snaps an ultra fine line and the braided line is extremely durable. The keeper for the hook end always keeps the hook end secure in my tool belt and the snap back feature is just a bonus. Not to minimize the snap back feature because it is very cool, but it would still be superior to any other I've used before without that feature! I am a professional builder who was getting very frustrated with the cheapness of standard chalk lines. You will not regret purchasing this

Great chalk line and very durable. Surviving extremely cold and wet canadian weather and hardcore framing.
