These perfectly sized, smooth edges, laser marked cedar wood pieces smell very nice. Because I know cedar chests and cedar lined closets have a history of being used to prevent insect damage to clothing and bedding I purchased these. In the past I have tried other brands and they worked for a while. Some companies sold bad smelling spray to renew them. They became a source of stains. I sanded others but that didn’t result in increasing the odor. Since I just purchased these I can’t fairly evaluate their effectiveness. They came with a piece of very fine sandpaper. I can say I like them. I am hopeful.

Maybe a little expensive for what you get but the blocks seem to be of good quality and have a nice cedar smell. I placed them under my family's beds to deter spiders and also used them in storage bins with clothing to keep moths away.

Nice cedar odor. They are called planks but they really are quite small. I might buy some more.

A great set of aromatic cedar planks. They smell fantastic, and the set includes a little piece of sandpaper to revive the fragrance when it starts to fade. They're a perfect size to tuck everywhere that tends to smell stale or attract moths, and the box contains 40 planks. Excellent value.The nice box makes them great for gifting as well. I actually ordered another box for my father-in-law for Christmas, and he LOVED it.Great product. âââââ

WhenI found holes in a sweater, I had to do something to protect my vulnerable fabric clothes…these will work, and have a mild natural scent.

We have a remote located house and keep a supply of clothing up there. The drawers are not sealed, as in they are a cubby storage that fits into a frame to be pulled out like a drawer so I wanted something to keep the silverfish and moths at bay. I could not smell the cedar at all so I tried sanding a couple with the enclosed sandpaper (nice touch, thank you) but I still didn't notice even a slight smell. Maybe there is enough for the prevention of said insects but not enough for my human nose. There's a lot in the package and was able to put two in each drawer with a few left over. It may be months before I realize if this have actually had any preventative properties to them. I cannot say whether this was worth the cost or not. May be a season or two before I know.

This is an absolute must if you want to protect your knitted sweaters/socks/etc from moths in a natural way. The smell is wonderful - not too strong and not too weak but just right. Don't forget to sand down those cedar blocks every few months to keep the scent fresh. Well worth it!
