This mega beach ball set made it thru TWO vacation bible school seasons !! Lots of rambunctious kids of several age groups rolling it and even hitting it over a volleyball net. We did have to make some small repairs with gorilla tape after one time it was bounced hard on some rocks . We did use an air compressor to inflate and found that a paper tube inserted into valve helped to deflate it quickly before storage.

They were smaller than expected and popped soon as they hit the ground. Thank goodness it came with two. Both popped during a single game of volleyball.

These beach balls seem to be about average quality - about what you would expect in a blow-up ball. The vinyl is average thickness. What sets this ball apart, though, is its size. While I don't think it quite reaches that 5 ft mark, at least not when blown up, you cannot dispute that it is HUGE. I just keep imagining my almost-four year old grandson chasing this around the yard! It will certainly feel all of five feet when you are only 3 1/3 feet tall! I recommend some kind of pump or compressor for filling or you will be at it a very long time! lol. This is a great, simple toy to get your kids or grandkids outside, running around instead of being couch potatoes. Have fun!
