I received four kits, some with three weights and some with only two weights. While two weights is sufficient quantity to do the job, all the kits are supposed to come with three weights. The provided clip in each kit weighs approximately 3 grams (approx the same as the provided weights) and is used during the experimentation phase to determine where to put the weights. It takes awhile to figure out the exact magic location to counter act the unbalance. The process involves guessing a location and sliding on the clip, activating the fan, to test the guess, and de-activating the fan. Repeat a bunch of times until you nail down the magic location. Next, adhere the weight or weights to the blade as close to the clip as possible and re-test. If the test fails, like it did for me, I had to remove the weight with a thin wedge and some force as it's really stuck in place. This guessing and experimentation process can take awhile. Overall, for as inexpensive as this kit is, I really can't complain as my fan is now better balanced.
