Got my ceiling fan back up and running. Been working very well for about 6 months now.I personally depend very heavily on reviews that are posted on Amazon, as do many other consumers. I not only read what reviewers say, but look to see what their pictures reveal about a products true quality and description. I aim to not only feature the products I review in many different aspects, analyzing many qualities, I also provide my own opinions on ALL the good AND bad experiences I have with the product I review. I take time to learn and use a product as it was intended before I review it, and I have used this specific product thoroughly.My rating system:5 - Met all my expectations. Was described and pictured perfectly. Exactly what I wanted and needed. Extremely useful product and a great value. Would recommend to family and friends.4 - Very good product. Exactly as described. May have a minor flaw, mentioned in the review, that does not detract from the products perceived value. Would recommend to family and friends.3 - Average product. Not exactly as described, or misleading advertising or product pictures. Possibly substandard build quality, or something else explained in the review. Would mention as an option to family and friends, but not recommend.2 - Wouldn't recommend this product. Poor build quality, not close to being as described. Flimsy and fragile. Love the fact that is easily installed and inexpensive. Quick fix, instead of someone's suggestion of replacing fan!

Fifteen years ago I bought two basic, traditional, 3-speed Hunter ceiling fans. For the past 5 years both have only functioned with 1 speed-- 1 on low & 1 on medium. I'd love to replace them with new, modern ones but after reading articles online, I decided to repair them, myself. After reading the online manual (who can find those on purchase made so long ago?), & opening the cover for the fan’s motor, i felt comfortable ordering these inexpensive switches. I followed the manual’s installation instructions to install them & after 10 minutes, each-- both of my fans had 3 speeds, again. Note: important to rotate the disc with the hole that the chain goes through, so that when motor is re-assembled you’ll be pulling on the chain that’s in alignment with where the chain is attached to the switch.

This was an exact replacement for the switch in my ceiling fan.Here is a tip, take a photo of the original switch with the wires in place, then split the case (to release the wires). I know there is a pin hole to press the release for each individual wires but splitting the case is much easier and you can then just slid in the wires making sure they match the positions of wires in the photo you took. Probably should have said make sure the power is off before you do any electrical work. My fan had a quick-connect that allowed me to drop the whole light fixture down and I was able to work on it at my table.For a few buck, I saved a $200 fan.

Easy to change and reconnect but the rotations are different. Speed two is definitely slowwwww like lowest setting and speed 1 is barely getting buy. I’m ordering different brand to try. I only bought this because chain broke inside other.

Had to replace a switch in a friends fan as the chain had broken off inside. This was almost exact and was an easy swap. But why 2 switches?? I only needed 1!
