These do exactly what they are supposed to do and prevent my trailer hitch from rattling in my vehicle.They also add security because you need a wrentch to take the hitch off.

Had them on my jeep to hold a bike rack that I never take off. They do well, but there is play in them so I have to retighten every once in a while. Other than that, they do great.

I got this for my bike rack because it was alittle loose in the receiver. It worked great, making my 2 bike carrier solid. Only downside is I need to keep the wrenches handy to take on and off.

I use a ford explorer with a class III "Curt" brand hitch (2 square receiver) to pull a 7x10 utility trailer with a few canoes on it. Tongue weight is almost nothing (about 80lbs), so the ball hitch slams around inside the receiver like crazy with every little bump in the road. It honestly sounded like something was coming apart back there even though there was no problem. I installed this hitch tightener bracket, and it totally solved that problem. Disclaimer: I still have some very slight rattling from large bumps in the road now but that is coming from the slop in the joint between the actual ball and the trailer tongue that I couldn't even hear before because the receiver joint was so loud and clunky. the noise that remains can't be blamed on this product since it's a completely different joint. The joint between the ball hitch and receiver is as quite as a church mouse now.

NOT SURE WHY THEY DON'T MAKE THE HITCHED SO THEY DON'T RATTLE BUT THIS SOLVES THE PROBLEM. VERY EASY TO INSTALL.
