Aligning a clutch without this type of tool is tough to do, this simplifies the job.For the DIY home mechanic, this tool works great.I used it to align my clutch to a ‘69 sbc.I’m sure it would hold up to multiple uses. For the cost, it can’t be beat.

Initially, I was unable to get my Jeep's transmission mated back to the engine after an engine rebuild without the tool. I'm not the smartest guy and I fought with it for hours. Read about using this tool on some of the forums and ordered it. Once I got it, I realized that the clutch truly wasn't aligned. Loosened everything up, put the CAT in place, tightened everything back down and the engine and the transmission slid together perfectly on the first try. If you are a braves but uneducated wrench turner, like myself, learn from my lesson. Get this tool...in hindsight, I don't think you can get the engine and transmission back together without a tool like this. This is a well crafted jig and got me back on the road quickly. Easily worth the price. Best of luck on your project!

Worked perfect for my 95 YJ 4.0 with AX-15. I would recommend this since it's so cost effective and can be used more than once.

What can I say other than it held the clutch disc center. My only complaint is it acts more like a centering tool and will not hold the dics by itself. You'll have to keep pressure on it while you put the pressure plate in place. Build quality it okay. It's made of plastic and the fit isn't super tight, but it's only a few buck so it gets the job done. For those who buy it, enjoy the install.
