Our clinic used this only for microhematocrit tubes and only used a couple times a week max. We kept this secure in the same place since purchase- purchased in April of this year, now less than 6 months later and it stopped working. Will still spin but at a much faster rate no matter what setting we program it for. Unable to get accurate results.

Got this machine for my rural house call practice in Central America. It has been an excellent little work horse and served me well for running hematocrits, urinalysis, and spinning down whole blood for serum collection. 2 years and running, love this centrifuge.

I bought this centrifuge specifically because it says Rotor #3 would accommodate four 3-ml tubes. Not only does it NOT do this, it won't even take a 2 ml tube. These are standard, lab-issued serum separator and whole blood tubes for veterinary medicine. Unfortunately, I discovered this AFTER the 30 day Amazon return period, as we didn't have occasion to use it until now. I have called the manufacturer, who has been very nice and is trying to find an answer for me. Specifically, WHAT 3 and 2 ml tubes does it hold?? If in fact, it does NOT hold this size tube, the advertising as well as the instruction booklet are incorrect, as both places specifically say Rotor 3 holds FOUR 3-ml tubes. The cover is so low that I can't see how anything but a miniature tube could spin. Do your homework.UPDATE - in fact, this machine DOES take special tubes which the manufacturer was able to discern for me. We may be able to use it after all but the fact remains that the description does not say WHAT 5 ml tubes fit it.

Not sure what tubes the larger head holds our 3 cc tubes will fit in the holes but are too long to fit in the centrifuge when it is closed. Also, a timer would be nice, but we just set one next to it and turn off the centrifuge when our timer goes off.The tiny Microhematocrit tubes must be the 40mm. Our normal 75mm tubes won't fit. You cannot really get enough of the serum to measure Total Solids off the small (40mm) tubes. But it is great if all you need is to spin down a PCV or a 1.3 mL microtube for serum.Very quiet.

No se puede dar uso ya que no se consigue la medida de 22m de los tubos capilares de hematocrito en ninguna página de los estados unidos las venden, hice muy mala compra con este producto ya que el vendedor no pudo resolver tampoco.

Has been working great for running veterinary PCV/TP and microspin tubes for chemistries. Good quality and excellent price!
