The oil primed linen along with a light tooth gives a mild texture while your paint won’t leave white spots behind especially if you use a thicker paint consistency (less medium). Great panel! Highly recommend.

I like an oil primed board and these are reasonable in price and do not warp. They have a tight weave and I have not had one fail me in any way while out painting.

I usually oil prime my canvases using an oil Ground. They take a week to dry. These canvases come already primed making them ready to paint on, with just enough tooth. The linen surface is also much nicer than the usual canvas board which often shows through the painting. I only wish there were more sizes to choose from.

I love the surface and the quality of the oil ground gesso. It made such a difference for me and I would definitely be buying more of these.

Too expensive for what you got. They are very pretty. A teacher recommended them but said to try to get them on sale.

These are the best oil-primed canvas boards I have found, and they come in many different sizes. Oil-primed boards provide a superior foundation for oil painting compared to acrylic-primed. The texture allows your paint to glide on easily, allowing you to create your best paintings.

These canvas boards are sturdy, the linen canvas is wonderful to paint on with the canvas holding the paint very nicely. They come individually wrapped so stay clean before use.

Bought these for plain air painting !! All canvas individually wrapped and in pristine condition after unwrapping ! I have not painted on them yet but I can tell already I’m going to love the smoother surface than canvas offers . Will continue to buy these worth the $$$

I have been painting mostly with oils for a while, heard about Centurion linen canvas from other artists. Since their products are primed with oil based primer, which is my favourite kind, I wanted to try it out.First of all, I must have missed something before buying it in a description, because I was expecting a linen stretched on wooden frame. This canvas is mounted on a cardboard. This is ok, depending on what its needed for. For a quick not very detailed painting it would work for me, as long as the oil based (OP enhanced, I’ll have to learn what it means) primer is non absorbent. And this is where the problems have began. The surface turned out to be very absorbent. First I was sketching in roughly the lines, but when trying to correct them they were straining the canvas. This does not happen on good quality oil based primed surface. After the sketching I decided to make a monochrome underpainting, and it was a real struggle. The painting was hard to spread without adding more solvent, and after that it was not sticking in to the canvas and very chalk to model. I had to go twice with solvent diluted paint to create better surface for the future applications. I am now hopeful that work will progress with less complications. In summary, it is okay canvas for the price I have payed, but there are far better oil based linen canvases or panels available that will allow to painting effortlessly from very first paint applications. And very similar experience I’ve had beginning my work on this Centurion canvas, I already had in the past, when working on store brand acrylic primed, very inexpensive canvases.Having said that, when it comes to the surface for painting it’s a very personal choice. What doesn’t works for one might work for someone else.
