I have one cat that likes to eat a lot and quickly. He vomits too often for me soon after he gorges himself. This dish really slows him down and his vomiting has been greatly reduced.

This cat food bowl is very well made. It's made out of some type of ceramic - like a coffee cup - and it is very easy to clean. M vet says plastic is not good for food and water bowls, so I am glad this one is made like a coffee cup and not a plastic bowl. But there is a downside. My cat is a very fast eater and this dish didn't slow her down all that much. The fish bones are too shallow, they need to be raised higher so it would be more of an effort to get at the food, thereby slowing down my cat's eating. That's my biggest gripe with this bowl. I ended up just feeding her less at each feeding and spreading it out more around the dish - but then I have to feed her a couple of more times throughout the day then I did prior to getting this dish. But the design does help as long as I feed her less and spread it out more. Also I feel the dish's stand is a bit too low - it's only a couple of inches off the ground, it should probably be a little higher. Although the food sits at the same level as her old bowl - I think it would more comfortable if this dish was a bit higher than. All in all it's a nice dish at a good price and it does help a little with Twizzler's speed eating habits to some extent.

This is a very nice bowl. The ceramic bowl is thick and substantial, and looks very nice. The base is two wooden pieces that nest together, but do not have a way for the pieces to stay together. I will probably superglue themvfg. I bought this feeder because my cats liked to have their kibble bowl filled to the tippy top because they did not like their whiskers to touch the sides of the bowl, and that led to an overflowing bowl that had to be constantly refilled, and a bunch of kibble all over the floor because they are messy eaters. The flatness and the large size of this feeder means that I can pour in a small mound of kibble in the middle. As they eat, the kibble spreads across the bowl and very little gets to the floor.

I bought these for my cat who eats so fast that she throws up. Almost every time. Since she started using these she hasn’t thrown up again. I have to keep a mat underneath since the food falls off a lot. It would be nice if they were a little deeper and had a rim to prevent this. They do make quite a mess. They’re very well made and heavy.

The stand did not come correct for size. One piece is basically 1-2cm off from being able to fit into the other, I had to file it down to get the stand to work together. The ceramic portion of the plate is nice and great for feeding but the stability is terrible maybe it’s because my pieces couldn’t fit the best together but the plate just kind of sits ontop unevenly of the wood stand.

I got the smaller size by accident, which is fine as it will help me with the feeding sizes. I used to use normal ceramic bowls that was from IKEA.The base doesn't fit as snug as I had hoped though, there is movement slightly in the feeder and it's wooden base.Overall its cute and looks great, I hope it helps as I have a food-binger cat and a "I don't eat when stressed" cat.Not yet been able to fully test as my cats have not moved to the apartment, but as per my point of view - good enough and cute in my space.
