I only needed one LED light. These were so reasonable priced that I bought the assortment! I plan to use more of the set later. I tested a few from each color set. Only one of the LEDs, a green one, failed to light. The brightness was good. The color was exactly as advertised for the red, blue and green LEDs (and of course, the clear ones). The orange and yellow LEDs tended to look red when voltage was applied. I used a pack of two AA batteries in series as a quick test, connected by holding the wires to the LED leads. The yellow LED looked yellow when it was loosely connected, then it brightened to red as the connection was completed. So, it might be possible to adjust the voltage or current to achieve the desired color.

I have a bunch of LEDs, but was trying a new project, and needed to know the exact specs, especially power draw. Not only did these LEDs meet the physical and electrical specifications, but they were well packaged, and each package had the specs (current draw, volts, etc) right on each color's package, which will help me immensely in keeping track of them. Only tested one so far but it's working very well.

Bright output and good value. I bought these to use for model train traffic lights and indicators. All six are diffused including white.Red seems dimmer than green but this is mostly because the human eye is most sensitive to green light. These are bright enough that you can match apparent brightness to red by reducing the current in the green and other sensitive colors.Measured voltages powered from a 15 mA regulated current source: green = 2.95 V, orange = 2.02 V, yellow = 2.06 V, red = 2.07 V, blue = 3.01 V and white = 3.05 V.Do not try to power these from 3 volts DC or AC without a current limiting resistor (47 or 100 ohms) or you will burn them out as some users have experienced. Full brightness will be hard to achieve or match using 3 V. It is easier to control brightness/current from a higher voltage such as 9V and 470 to 1000 ohms in series.You could also use a PN4393 JFET (or similar Idss around 15 mA ) as a current regulator. A current regulator will allow you to operate at constant brightness from 4 to 12 V. Short or tie the gate to the source with a resistor to control the current.

I used these to replace broken leds on an effect pedal. They work great, only issue is that compared to the original led in the pedal, these leds are significantly brighter. The brightest ones are the green and blue lights, while the most mild led were the yellow ones

These LEDs are still almost blinding running at 10 mA. Just be aware that the leads are about 3/4 inch long, shorter than most LEDs their size. It didn't matter to me, but if you are using spacers to stand them off a circuit board, it might matter.
