Places like HomeDepot and Lowes carry a limited variety of traps. My sink need this configuration. The old trap threads were cracking. Due to the crazy plumbing of our sink drain which has many twists and turns under our house in the crawl space (as shown in image), the drain slows or clogs about twice a year and has to be cleaned out. I find using a rubber bladder that attaches to a garden hose and forces high pressure water down the pipes to work well. However, to use it effectively I have to disconnect the trap. The next time I do that I will replace the old trap+union with this item.
