I got this mainly to have a place to store my checkbook and register for the rare occasions that I use it. I typically keep it on my desk, along with a couple of other items, for the rare use with paying bills or sending money to older friends after trips.This has pretty much everything you need in a checkbook. There's ample space for the checkbook and the register (in the other side). There's also the clear lower flap for placing under the top check, so there's not press-through when writing a check. The additional slots for holding extra credit cards or other types of cards is also rather nice. (Mine is full of stamps and medical cards now.) And of course a place for a pen to clip in is always welcome.For the price, this fits the bill for everything I needed to replace the breaking holder my bank gave me a decade plus ago. It looks far more stylish than the old flat case, and is far more organized. I will note that I also purchased a clear vinyl cover, and put that in this as well (to hold the register as a flap over). It would have been really nice to have that built in. But the price for both separately was far lower than the cost of any of the other versions that had a similar feature. (And most of those had lots of other things I didn't need, like a coin purse. Almost bordering on a clutch at that point.)As it is, this is quite slim, and fits well in a drawer or in a pocket. The clasp has a solid hold to it, and feels sturdy. I'm looking forward to this likely being the last holder I'll need, since it should easily last a couple of decades, given the light usage it sees.

I needed a new checkbook cover and when I saw the choice of many colors for this one, it drew me in to click on this product. I got mine in red, so that I could easily see it in my purse, which is not always very organized. Its craftmanship has been done well. The sturdiness was not as great as I would like for it to be, but when the price is under $8.00 that was easy for me to not worry about. If you are looking for an inexpensive, but very nice checkbook cover, choose this one!

these are well made for checkbook holders. the plastic divider for duplicate checks is nice and tall and covers the whole check. the feel of the checkbook is smooth and the snap is consistent. buying more for the future as like these and eventually they all wear out

The checkbook cover was received exactly as described ,and the leather is looking and feeling excellent, the sewing is well made and it is well compartmented. Surprised retail box for product was in perfect condition as Amazon likes to rough-handle items in warehouse and ship in paper envelopes (sad but true with most Amazon shipments). I am very happy with my purchase.
