The mill in the photo was the 1st I made, but everything fit together properly, the mill works great. I probably hace some work to do for my own woodwork... But the mechanics of the grinder fit snug, worked great and measurements all perfect. My work, well dont judge the mill on my skill with wood lol

The ceramic male grinder piece of my salt mill broke so I ordered this replacement kit.Neither the included directions nor the Chef Specialities website explain the details of how to put together ALL the pieces but after a bit of searching online, I found this picture that explains the grinder bushing and spacer placement which are missing from the included directions.Easily put it together after finding this pic. And now my grinder works great again!

This was a set of replacement parts for a hand- made salt mill. Everything works, although the length of the shaft was too short. Rather than trying a longer size, I swapped in the previous shaft. It seems that the new mill mechanism requires more shaft length than the original.

The unit is very nice, well made. My only complaint is that you need a 1 1/16" bit for installation. Not a common bit at all. Would be nice if the unit was made for a 1 inch or 1 1/8" bit. Other than that, wonderful.

The only problem I have with the salt mill grinder is the enclosed instruction sheet it does not show all the parts that are enclosed in the bag. I tried to look up the detailed instruction sheet online per their instructions but to no avail. Had to email them which they fairly promptly emailed the instruction to me. Other that that I would have rated a 5
