I used to keep a large pot of water simmering on the stove in the winter since my 140 year old house gets very dry when the heat is on. My skin and sinuses felt much better when I did, but I'd always have to keep checking the water level. We've used humidifiers in the past, but it was almost impossible to get them thoroughly clean. Every year I'd get sinus infections because of it. This product works like a charm. We add it to the water in the humidifier as suggested and so far, so good. I still clean it every day, but I always add this product to the water and it stays much cleaner as a result. I highly recommend this product.Linneaann

Started using this product the beginning of this winter season. I've been using the manufacturers product which is a sanitizing only and it helped but I believe this works better due to the hard water in my area. This has not been a very cold winter so far, so the dehumidifier has not run as much as in previous years. However I get far fewer clogged filter warnings from the dehumidifier now. Will continue to use this product even though it is more expensive

Best product I have found yet. We have hard water and this really helps preserve the humidifier. I have been using this product for the past three years in the same humidifier.

I have used this type of chemical product to keep the build up of scaly hard water & limestone on my Humidifier at a minimum. It still builds up on the Element but the Scaly Substance dissolves easy when this product is used daily. I almost have double the recommended amount for it to work properly in my area of the mid west with all the limestone and hard water that is present. The price on the other hand is over double what I pay at a retail store. I just needed it in a pinch one day, so They got me good.

as far as I am concerned humidifier antibacterial chemicals are basically the same. This just happens to be the one I use.
