A bit pricey.They have a basic “kit†(50 dowels and a drill bit) if you’re working 3/4 and under. With 5/4 and 6/4 you need to get the next size up AND BUY their drill bit - it is specially designed for this.You will like this system and it will probably become your go-to tool for doweling.It will not replace Kreg and cannot be used for blind doweling but your screw collection will gather dust with this in your shop.

The Miller Dowel system works like a charm. Recommended.Cherry Dowels are harder to find.

I’ve used the larger size Miller dowels for sometime now. I like to use them to align glue ups. I clamp everything together in a dry fit and once it’s clamped, then I’ll drill some holes for Miller dowels, then unclamp everything, spread the glue and then use the dowels to align everything when I clamp it together again. The benefit of using the Miller dowels is that you get to drill the holes during the dry fit when the glue hasn’t made everything slippery and everything is sliding all around. If you apply a clamp to a glued surface it can slip, but you can clamp up a dry fit and it won’t slip. The Miller dowels align everything to be in exactly the same place during the glue-up as during the dry fit. Afterward, you can trim off any parts of the dowels that are proud.
