I wasn’t sure about this item whatsoever, however, this thing is amazing. We cook chicken for our dogs and we shred it to mix in their food and this thing will do your chicken hot right out of the cooker and shred it just perfect. I cannot highly recommend it anymore than what I already do.

I supplement my dogs' diet with chicken thighs, so this shredder has made it a lot faster to split chicken fibers into smaller pieces than when I was using scissors to cut small chunks previously.I like the accessories included; I use the tongs and brush for other uses of course. One issue I came across with the brush is that some of the synthetic bristles came out in the first several uses.The inner tray comes out that made it easy to serve the chicken. I did wish the tray's surface was matted because that would made it easier to wash off grease but as it is a smooth plastic finish you might have to use a degreasing dish soap or scrub more to clean. The other issue with the tray is that the spikes & there holes are not equally spaced, so you have to orient the tray a specific way to place it back into the spiked base. To help you line them up, there is an arrow on the tray, but it is small and difficult to see sometimes at the wrong angle.
