The salt chlorinator seems to be working just fined, at a far lower price than the Pentair unit I replaced. It was a perfect fit, none of the many adapters were required. The only downside so far is that I cannot control the generation level through the Pentair system and phone app. I really need that when I switch from pool to spa mode as 50% generation into a spa creates a huge amount of chlorine in such a small volume of water.

This product screwed in properly, and the electric outlet was also an exact match. So easy to install and it works perfect. My pool returned to Clearwater within 24 hours. It saved me $1200. This is a five star product.!!

I bought this to replace my spent IC40 from Pentair. It's substantially cheaper than the pentair version. It uses the same connections though and that's a huge bonus. I did have an issue with the flow sensor/switch on the first unit (the reason for my downgrade in the rating). Customer service was quick to help me troubleshoot the issue and promptly sent a new switch. The new switch solved the issue. I also love the fact that the cell is not integrated into the controller so, when the cell is eventually used up, I can just replace the cell instead of buying a whole new unit. Interestingly enough, I can run this unit at a lower setting than my previous Pentair unit and still maintain the proper chlorine levels. I definitely recommend this unit, but can't give it a full 5 stars because of the initial problem. Customer Service though... 10 out of 5 stars. They're awesome!

Our salt cell is 3 years old and went out. We weren’t financially prepared to purchase a new one but we were concerned that this aftermarket one may not allow the app to work properly. We decided to take a chance and this salt cell works perfectly with our Pentair system and app! Will update on the longevity later.

Update: we are 1 week in and I ran this for 24hrs the first day and my pool looks amazing again. Chlorine is back up and algae is gone. Way better than my pentair.I just received this today. I recently had my pentair ic 40 blow up on me after only 7 months. I couldn’t spend 1300 on a new one so I bought this instead. It took me less than 10 minutes to unscrew the pentair then screw this in and plug it in the the pentair power center. Turned the pool on and started working immediately. Come to find out my salt level is way hi now at 5800 because the old pentair unit said low salt. I’m going to run it for the next 24 hours to get the pool back up to clean and I’ll update in a few months but so far it is awesome and Id buy it again

This product is as advertised (compatible with Pentair), easy to install. Minor issue with the salt level indicator, but the Chlorworks customer service department was responsive and helpful with resolution. Great value.

I bought this to replace the "twice the price" original equpment as recommended by my pool guy. The original would last about 6 months before needing to be replaced.So this one is the third salt cell chlorinator on my pool.It seems to be doing what it's supposed to do which is good. I just hope this one lasts years instead of months. Uncertainty about longevity is the reason for 4 stars. Right now, it seems to be a good decision to buy this salt cell instead of matching the original equipment.
