I specifically was looking for a water bottle that could be attached to the outside of the cage so that every time I needed to fill it, it wasn’t a pain to get out. This bottle came in multiple colors which was also an added bonus. I was so disappointed because I kept wasting my money on different ones and felt like I would never find anything that worked as stated. They all leaked! I was about to give up and just use a water bowl, even though I don’t like using them, my gerbils tend to use them as toilet dishes, when I decided to try this brand. At first I got the shorter spout and sometimes it would be good, while other times it would continuously drip. I was so disappointed. I came across the same bottle type, but with a longer spout and decided to try that one instead as a last ditch effort. To my surprise it worked!! No more leaking! I’m guessing the shorter spout just couldn’t be positioned correctly to prevent it from dripping, while somehow the longer spout can be positioned correctly. I’m so happy I gave this a try because it was definitely worth it! I’m happy and so are our gerbils! Just a side note. Every time you fill this bottle, make sure to tap the little ball with your finger until water comes out. Sometimes it gets “stuck†when you refill the bottle from the pressure of the new water/air in it. As long as I do that, everything works perfectly!

This is the BEST water bottle I've ever found for small animals. I use this for my guinea pig and it works great! No dripping at all and easy to clean. I do find that I have to press in the ball in the mouthpiece after I fill the bottle. If I forget, the ball gets stuck and my guinea pig struggles to drink. But that one con far outweighs all the other leaky bottles I've bought in the past.

I'm so happy I took a chance on this expensive little water bottle. No drips; securely fixes to cage; not too difficult for guinea pig to get water out of.Size is small but apparently you can use a pop bottle on it too. Haven't tried yet but will soon.I'm so glad my guinea pig's cage is not a dog mess. This is the 5th water bottle I've tried and it really works!

UPDATED: As per my previous review, I did buy another of these, and for a while, they worked very well.Unfortunately, after a few months my guinea pigs figured out how to chew the gaskets inside the drinking nozzle on these, and the bottles now leak constantly and are unuseable. I tried buying a new set of bottles (4 total), and they immediately destroyed them the same way. I no longer use these. If your pets aren't water bottles chewers, these are good bottles; without tampering, they do not leak.OLD: I can't tell you how many ineffective "leak-proof" bottles I've used over the years for my guinea pigs-- it isn't that the bottles themselves leak, but that the pigs--bless their hearts--like to gnaw on the tubes while drinking, depressing the dispenser so that water streams out continuously while they're using it.This bottle has eliminated this problem! Something about the nozzle design is preventing them from making a mess despite their best efforts. I'm very impressed. The only downside is that it's quite small, but it's affordable and effective enough that I will be purchasing a second one after this review. I do wish it came in more neutral colors.

These are the best!! Hands down will only order these bottles I have now ordered 3 so one for each of my pet cages . They are strong plastic easy to clean and do exactly what they say. I was on the hunt for a no leak bottle that actually worked for my chinchilla because they cannot get wet. So I tried this and it’s perfect!!! So I ordered two more and have them for my guinea pigs! If they make them in a bigger size I would buy two for my dogs they are that good!!!

Got this for guinea pigs. Perhaps a bit small, but it does not leak. We also got a Lixit bottle and it constantly leaked, even with people's suggestions of filling all the way up and squeezing to create a vacuum. The Choco Nose bottle should not be squeezed per the directions and performs admirably with no effort. This can be placed on inside or outside of cage, but the straw is not super long so it worked better (so far) for us to put it on the inside. The piggies make their own mess when drinking, but I can't fault the bottle for that.I would like option of a larger bottle and maybe a fill from top lid, but not if it compromises performance. Very happy with this product.

I have a Guinea pig that likes to interchange between pellets and the water bottle. She loves to bring back water on her chin and wet the entire bedding. After my previous water bottle started leaking non stop, I wanted to get this water bottle. When I was got it, absolutely no water came out. I had to spin around the little tiny plastic thing inside the metal straw to make it work. I think without consumer knowing, that can be dangerous since I’m trusting that my Guinea pig will drink from a water bottle I bought. But after, it worked. The leaking stopped and the bedding is dry. There was so little water coming out in time the ball was moved that I was scared if my Guinea pig is even getting enough water. As far as 2 week goes, she doesn’t seem hydrated. However, there’s a learning curve. When the bottle is freshly filled, the pressure can make the ball stuck on the tip. You have to keep pressing the ball until the pressure loosen and water comes out. Otherwise your Guinea pig can’t drink! My (old) Guinea pig couldn’t drink due to the pressure which I didn’t know so don’t make my mistake.Capacity is fine as far as I am concerned. I change the bottle twice a day because the water gets dirty anyway. It’s a good product but I had to finesse my way to make it work.

Was very pleasantly surprised to see the quality of this water bottle. Most small animal accessories are of very poor quality and break easily. This one was very sturdy and very easy to attach to my cage. (The water is tinted yellow because of the vitamins that I've added to it, just an FYI) ðŸ˜

The clip on which water bottle sits on is easily broken.

Just ordering number two now as this is the first one with little drip. The guinea pigs still spill some when they drink, so it’s above a container in my cage hut it is by far the most dry drinking unit I’ve tried.Need two as the piggies finish one bottle in under 24h atm so want a backup if they need it.One of my piggies started splashing around the water when she drinks. So will finish 2 bottles in 24hrs now. Ordering #3 to see if one of them also leaks a little maybe. Don't see it leak regularly, but maybe at moments it does. It's been 7 months.. so no hard feelings for that.

After making 2 returns to the pet store, we ordered this and we've had ZERO water leakage so far (unlike the "name brand" Oxbow).AND it was less expensive, too!

After years of keeping guinea pigs and struggling with water bottles that dripped, soaking their bedding, I was SO glad to find this. I'd tried everything from putting bowls underneath to catch the drips, putting separate fleeces down... nothing worked. Now there is the perfect solution in this bottle. This is also an excellent size - and an even better bonus is that it has two plates that screw together to attach it securely to the cage / hutch. Another bugbear of mine has been attaching bottles with those wretched wires ... It's a very nicely designed product.I would very happily recommned this to owners of any small pet. I have a dry guinea pig house at last!
