I have a Brick mantle and it's not very wide and it's uneven so I can't place much on it. I decided to give this a try and boy am I happy! It was extremely easy to assemble and hang from my mantle. Stockings easily go onto the rod and look so nice hanging.

This christmas stocking rod for your mantle measures 48 inchs long. I had 6 stocking that I put on this rod and it seemed to hold them well when filled. I didn't like the set-up of this stocking holder because you had to unscrew one end and that slide one stocking off one by one. This stocking rod holder is the same as using a curtain rod. Would have been cheaper to just have bought the curtain rod instead.

Took some work, but we fully got all three pieces together and figured out got to adjust it. I finally had to force the middle piece onto the end with the disc and realized there is a part on the other end that has to be twisted to left the telescoping mechanism work properly. The bar does not fit well into the hooks and the hooks don’t feel secure on the mantle, but we are going to add the stockings and see if extra weight helps to keep it stable. Just got it out of the box and set up, so we may be adjusting the rating, but so far, it’s been an exercise in parience and problem solving.

The rod came in a crushed box and with no instructions! Then once we put it together, the hooks are not the same ones as the ones pictured in the assembled version (curved).
