I was skeptical to buy these stocking hangers because of the simplistic design's capability to hold a stocking filled with items. Have no fear - they work terrific! They can hold a full-size stocking (about 18") filled with small items and candy without a problem. I like that they are very simple and are not distracting to the mantle scene in any way, blending in nicely.

These are great quality and very nice, but I'm knocking them down one star because I wish they had stronger grippers to keep them in place. They've been knocked off a few times from being bumped and it doesn't take much to move them or knock them off the shelf.

The holders stay on your mantle and hold your stocking really well. If the stocking is over stuffed with very heavy things, it will not stay on.
