This year was not a good year for our Christmas tree! It kept falling over. The tree stand we had was not holding up the tree! When this stand arrived, I unfolded it. I noticed the pipe I put the tree so-called trunk was much taller and the trunk slide right down into the pipe! No more tree disasters!!

My mom has had the same tree artificial Christmas tree for several years, but a couple years ago the stand broke. We have jerry-rigged it the past few years because my mom loved the tree. This past year I found this tree stand on amazon and when my family went over to my mom's to set up her tree I showed her the new stand and it brought happy tears to her eyes. Needless to say the stand worked as advertised and made an older woman happy at Christmas.

First of all, this is a very small lightweight stand. Yes, it measures 16" across but it is made of thin metal and will certainly not hold a big artificial tree. I would recommend if your tree is taller than 4' that you find a larger, sturdier stand. Having said that, I decided to use this for a 6' tree anyway. The assembly of the stand requires simply that you unfold the stand into an "X" shape and install the 3 screw pins to hold the tree base in place. This stand had 3 holes provided for the screw pins but only 2 of the holes were threaded. I spent over an hour trying to get the third pin in place - to no avail. If I had a tap and die set I could have threaded it myself, but I do not. I ended up drilling out the third hole and installing a reversed bolt so that the bolt head will provide some support to the tree base. I absolutely hate it when simple details are stupidly overlooked on something only semi-useful to begin with that makes the item virtually worthless. You would think with an $18 price you would get better quality, but you definitely do not in this case. Buyer beware!

I’ve been using this stand since Thanksgiving and my tree seems to be very sturdy for now. I will come back to change my review if anything happens.

Whatever I do my tree does not sit straight with this stand. Cheaply made and not enough support.

It's very sturdy and you'll have no worries about your artificial tree falling over. This stand folds up nice to store back in the box for next year.
