These are pretty good inserts for the value. Everything is ground flat and appears to be concentric. I was using these for a custom scraper instead of wood turning. For my application I needed exactly 16mm OD and I measured the OD at ~16.15mm. Also, the screws sit slightly proud of the insert and I needed to grind these down to sit below the insert.For most people's application of this product it is probably fine, but if you need something with exact dimensions you should look elsewhere.

Exactly as described, I already turn few pens and the first blade is still cutting like new. I still have not turn the blade.I wish there was a "marker" on the blade so when turning it, you know which side has been used, however this is not a show-stopper...!

Using these carbide insert cutter knives, you never again have to sharpen a chisel. Other inserts are small and can only be used for detail work. The 16 mm size can be used for roughing and general turning.
