The bulb does the job. However, it went dead after about half a year which I think is a bit shorter. Would expect one can work at least for 2 years.

These 4 Pin lamp will last you 10 years. I had mine turned on for 8+ hours a day. The lamps are very pricy, but in a long run, this will save you more money, because regular lightbulb needs to be replaced regularly.But I'm giving this one 1 star, because I've failed to understand why someone designed it like this. It's a 4 pin base with a square plug, then what makes someone think a hexagon shaped base bottom after a square plug is a good idea? It obviously didn't fit my lamp, so I had to return it.This lamp is shorter and has a hexagon shaped bottom than the original one, so careful when you're buying these. It might not fit to your lamp, if it has specific enclosures.
