We are using these to snap around guy lines to our canopy when we camp. Even at night they are visible and people don't trip over the lines. They work great.Not sure what "Sheerness" would mean in this product. You want it sturdy and durable, not sheer and flimsy.

I had these left over from a project when my subtropical area got snow and ice for the first time in decades. I used it wrap 3 outside faucets and it worked with tightly wrapped trash bags over the foam to keep them dry!

The foam noodles arrived today and they are as expected other than the color. I bought the green color based on the listing photo which seemed to show a dark forest green. The items that arrived are a light, seafoam green. This may not be an issue for some folks but my application requires a specific color and what I received is not it. If the color isn't of importance to you, then these will work just fine.
